Nutley, New JerseyMayor Joanne Cocchiola, (mayorcocchiola @ nutleynj.org) Commissioner Joseph Scarpelli and the Greenutley Committee recently announced plans to hold a Rain Barrel Workshop at the Nutley Farmers Market on Sunday, August 29th. The workshop will focus on teaching the community the benefits of having a rain barrel, as well as constructing a barrel from common items that can be purchased at a local hardware store.

This is one of many educational ‘green’ workshops that the Greenutley Committee would like to bring to our community,” commented Mayor Cocchiola. “Having an operational rain barrel for your home or business has many obvious benefits. We are excited to bring this information to our residents,” .

Nutley Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Why I Love Nutley

My favorite event in Nutley is the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade that is held on Franklin Avenue each year. I love that the whole town is just packed down onto the main drag to have some fun. There are kids, grown ups, street drinking, but none of the knuckleheads that come to ruin Hoboken or Belmar. It’s great to see a bunch of people having fun without becoming jerks.
